Some believe most Men should be screened while some believe most Men should not be screened.
As a result, each body has made and published their own Clinical Practice Guidelines, each different from the other.

The test is not painful, does not damage the rectum or Prostate and takes 3-5 seconds to complete.
~45% of men are uncomfortable with the thought of a DRE. Many choose to forgo screening altogether rather than have the maneuver performed.
While a DRE is strongly recommended we do not pressure you and it is certainly not mandatory. Your risk can be assessed without the DRE.
